Emergency Lift breakdown, Call-Out and Repair of Office Block

Problem Solved:

A call was placed at our 24-hour call centre advising the doors on the customers lift were closing intermittently and very slowly. The customer was worried it may mean a trapping of a customer so called us for advice.

One of our experienced engineers was dispatched and the lift was tested and inspected. He found the safe edges to be false triggering, this was due to lose door shoes. They were adjusted and re-tightened on all doors and landings. The lift was tested again and ran without fault. The customer has an on-going ‘Gold’ maintenance package with us and so was not charged for the call, travel or and adjustment labour even though out of hours. This is a customer we have on a rolling contract and invoice yearly for the renewal as requested by the client. This reduces admin yearly and ensures continuity of service.
